Thoughts I had in the Shower Today

• Whatever happened to that Napoleon Dynamite kid? He did that one ice skating movie with Will Ferrell, and that was alright. Does Will Ferrell embody his own production studio? Or do the big wigs still have to O.K. his ideas?
  
  
• If I'm working on a problem, I typically run scenarios in my head. They're like short plays or movies. Today, I thought of the situation where my future son will be called a "pervert" by someone at his school, someone who didn't understand the meaning of the word in the first place. He'd ask what it meant, so I'd have to explain it to him.
  
  I'd probably ask what happened that made the other person call him that. Knowing it was incorrect, I'd start by telling him that an idea is "perverted" when it has been twisted or warped in a bad way. A "pervert" is someone who turns all thoughts negative in a sexual way, be they comments from other people thought to be innuendos or perceiving all communication as attempts to "hit on" them. I'd wrap it up by pointing out exactly where the person who called him that was wrong, assure him that he's okay, and ask him not to use his education against others in a bout for world domination. My son's gonna be brilliant. Trust me.
  
  

• There's an open source DIY 8-bit console out on the Internet called the Fuzebox. You build the console and can use a variety of free open-source compilers to program games in C for the thing. I should probably figure out the best way I can learn C as soon as possible. I need to learn to use a soldering iron too....
